Jen Wood –
I have made a few dozen pairs of these and to say they’re a lifesaver is an understatement. I have twin boys who are 6. One of my sons has sensory issues and HATES underwear. He would rather go commando than have elastic touching his skin (like most boys’ unders seem to have.) so I made a dozen or so pairs last year and another 20 this year in the world’s least exciting back to school sewing. I use the no-exposed-seams method and he will actually wear them! Hooray for not having the kid who isn’t wearing underwear. They are so easy to make and I love that I can use tiny little scraps for the accent “cod piece” part and go with solids for the rest.
