Adventure Jacket – Youth

This is a PDF sewing pattern and tutorial to teach you how to create these garments. YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE ANYTHING IN THE MAIL.

The Adventure Jacket is a classic with options to keep everyone happy. The dropped shoulder/dolman sleeve gives for an easy fit that gives plenty of room for laying clothes underneath.  You can create a lightweight jacket with thin silky lining or a use something warm and cozy for a warmer winter jacket.  The pockets not only give a cute detail, but give extra space for treasures.  The hip length offers inseam pockets to hold more essentials or give you a cozy place to tuck your hands in.  Choose from a trendy crop length or a classic hip length.  The elastic at the bottom brings in to hold warmth in, but keeps the boxy fit that layers over clothes easily.  All options are fully lined with separate front facing pieces.  This makes sure you can use a thick, even fluffy lining without worrying about it getting stuck in your zipper.  Wear the jacket closed or open and see nothing but beautiful finished with the fully lined zipper. Pick from a collar or hood to top off your adventure jacket.  The sleeves can be finished with elastic cuffs or knit cuffs. • All Versions Feature a Drop-Shoulder Dolman Sleeve and are Fully Lined with Separate Front Facing Pieces.

The Adventure Jacket pattern is drafted for woven fabrics. Although you can also use a very stable knit like sweatshirt, sherpa, etc. The knit cuff option is the only piece you will need a stretch fabric for.

Specific Fabric Suggestions: Main fabrics: denim, twill, corduroy, soft shell, sweatshirt knit, micro fleece, etc. Lining fabrics: silky fabrics, cotton, flannel, french terry, sweatshirt, sherpa, fleece, etc.
