Lizzy Dress – Youth

This is a PDF sewing pattern and tutorial to teach you how to create these garments. YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE ANYTHING IN THE MAIL.

The Lizzy Dress- Youth pattern is an empire waist dress named after Lizzy/Elizabeth Bennet. Along with the elastic just under the bust, there is another just below on the ribs.  The Lizzy Dress is an easy fit dress with the elastic or tie straps.  Both can be gathered more or less depending on how wide you’d like the neckline/bodice giving it some wiggle room for fitting and growing.  The gathered tiers on the skirt give a swish, sway and twirly skirt that we all love. There is a gathered band above the last tier for a cute and unique detail.  Choose from everyday above knee skirt length or a stunning maxi that hits at ankles.

The Lizzy Dress- Youth is a tight fit pattern, drafted for non-stretch woven apparel fabrics.

Pattern options for the Lizzy Dress-Youth include:

• Straps: Thin Straps / Sleeves
• Lengths: Just Above Knee/ Maxi, Ankle

Specific Fabric Suggestions: Rayon, Rayon Challis, Voile, seersucker, Georgette, poly blends, linen blends, cotton blends, etc. (I never recommend using a quilting cotton for apparel, but you can use it for this dress.  Keep in mind the fabric requirements are for apparel fabrics that are wider than quilting cottons though).
