Dun, dun, dun! Today is placket day! But please don’t let this step scare you away, I promise that once it clicks you’ll be a pro at sewing them. (On the other hand, if you have decided that you want to skip the placket on this version of your henley, the patterns already include a neckband measurement for a basic tee option. Easy as that!)

I have watched your videos and am still having trouble getting my sewing machine to go through the thickness when making my placket out of French Terry. I broke a needle already. Can you please add tips either here or on your Facebook sew along on how to sew through material when the layers become so thick?
I recommend using a lightweight fabric for the placket in the tutorial for this reason. For the French Terry you can try a thicker stretch needle like a 90 gauge, it should be better at handling it.
Oh no…where did the video go on the placket? I think I understand the directions but I was hoping to watch the video before I tried.
